Stryx Labs is an independent technology laboratory in New Jersey, with two founders and no outside capital. We build infrastructure, tools, and experiences for the AI era: local-first, audited before release, made to last.

Why the lab exists.

We believe the AI era is short of one thing, and it is neither better prompts nor larger models. It is persistent memory, structural certainty, and software that still knows where it is when the next session begins.

We take no investment. We announce nothing early. We ship nothing we cannot reason about from end to end. The product is the artifact, and the artifact has our whole attention.

A quarter is noise. The year is our unit. Each thing we build takes the time it needs, and it stays maintained after it ships.

Principles

Six rules for every product.

  1. Native to AI, local by default.

    Our products run on the user’s machine. The compute, the data, and the latency belong to the user.

  2. Structural certainty.

    Parsers, graphs, and symbol resolution do the work that pattern matching leaves to chance. The AI answers more sharply because the structural work was done first.

  3. Audited, then shipped.

    Every product passes an audit of security, performance, accessibility, and reliability before release. We do not call a beta a release.

  4. Updates that can turn back.

    Every update is followed by a health check. If the new build fails it, the previous build returns automatically. No update is a one-way door.

  5. Built to last.

    We measure in years. Each product gets the time it needs and is maintained after it ships.

  6. Private source, public product.

    The source code is not published. The product is: its install commands, documentation, and binaries are open to everyone. The artifact is what we deliver.
